Point of Entry: Three years post-canon.
Physical Description:Stuart Redman is a man in his mid-thirties. He has an athletic build, blue eyes and brown, wavy hair. 5'10", he exudes country charm. He dresses casually and has an easy, gentle smile. Stu doesn't talk much, unless he has something worth saying, and when he does his voice is deep and he speaks slowly in his Texas drawl. There's a deep sadness in his eyes that comes from a lifetime of struggle topped off with some good, old-fashioned heartache. Stu is the kind of man country songs are written about.

Stu is from Stephen King's novel The Stand. At the end, he and Frannie take their baby Abigail back to Maine. I have extrapolated on the end and Stu and Frannie lived there for three years post novel. The Superflu virus mutated again and Abigail died at the age of two. Frannie got pregnant again and died in childbirth, as did their son Nick. After having lost everyone he'd cared for, Stu decided to make his way back to Texas, to the home place where he knew the countryside and felt at home. When he set out from Ogunquit he planned ahead, much like after he left Stovington, Vermont after his incarceration at the CDC. His inventory at the time is as follows:

Stu has his own campsite set up in a clearing off the main path to the Compound. It's laid out simply, with a fallen log, a firepit ringed with rocks, and his tent filled with his personal effects.
